On July 18, 2009 former NASA scientists and engineers, aerospace experts, meteorite academics and collectors, and space program enthusiasts gathered in the Kuiper Space Sciences Building on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 moon mission's Eagle touching down on the lunar surface.

The event was organized by the Lunar and Planetary Lab. Aerolite Meteorites was delighted to receive an inviation to participate by exhibiting some favorite meteorite speicmens from our reference collection. We would like to convey our sincere thanks to Maria Schuchardt, Dolores and Rik Hill, and the staff of Kuiper Space Sciences for making the Apollo 11 celebration a never-to-be forgotten event.
