Camel Donga is a very rare eucrite, found in a remote strewnfield in Western Australia. Most recovered stones are quite small, and the fragile nature of eucrites means many recovered stones were broken on impact. Note the extremely shiny black fusion crust, reminiscent of freshly applied enamel paint. Camel Donga is one of the very few meteorites that will not stick to a magnet, as eucrites contain little or no metal. Recent research in meteoritics and astronomy has most experts convinced that Camel Donga meteorites originated on the asteroid Vesta.
