Description

We don’t often see Veevers iron meteorite offered on the collectors market. This IIAB iron fell in Australia and was found in 1984—the largest fragment found, to date, weighs only 36 grams. The meteorite left behind a crater, which is named after Australian geologist John Veevers; in this indirect way, the Veevers meteorite may be one of the few named after a person.

The impact crater was discovered in 1975—the discovery of small, metallic meteorite fragments confirmed its origin.
