Description
This is a piece of the Moon in the form of a lunar meteorite. That means some extraterrestrial object had to strike the Moon with enough force to blast a piece into space and then, against all odds, it had to travel and collide with Earth as it became a meteorite. Lunar examples are obviously uncommon, and it is illegal to privately own a rock from the Moon that was collected by an astronaut on a lunar mission.
