Soledade
The Soledade iron meteorite was found near the city of Soledade in Brazil in 1986, where reports are that it was “being heated with an acetylene torch and hammered.” Soledade displays a unique Widmanstätten pattern and is an octahedrite containing troilite, schreibersite, and kamacite. Octahedrites have a crystal structure that resembles an octahedron; when cut and polished, they display intersecting lines of lamellar kamacite.
