An ataxite is a meteorite with no internal structure, such as Widmanstätten patterns or Neumann Lines. This meteoritical marvel displays a rich abundance of the mineral taenite which is often seen in harmonious geometrical Widmanstätten patterns within other types of iron meteorites. As a result, Chinga produces a heterogenous, mirror-like surface when it is cut and polished.
