From Weston to Creston

New,  softcover.

This book is a compendium of 169 witnessed meteorite falls that occurred in the United States from the first documented fall at Weston, Connecticut in 1807 to the Creston, California fall in 2015. Well-researched and illustrated, this book also contains information about the history and growth of meteoritics as a science and the people that study them.

Frank Cressey is a meteorite expert and long-time meteorite collector. He holds geology degrees from the University of California, Riverside and Oregon State University. Cressey’s interest in space began when he was a child, although it wasn’t until 1998 that he realized he could own a meteorite. It was then that Cressey’s hobby became a full-blown passion, one that he hopes to share with other enthusiasts.
